International Women's Day 2023

March 8 is a special day for us at Shouz. From day one, when a 23-year-old Annette McInerney started the business more than 40 years ago, ours has always been an all-female team. Today (and every day) we’re so grateful to the wonderful women who have helped make Shouz what it is today. We’re so excited to be on this journey with you all. Happy International women’s day!

Kate and Annette amaze us every day with their work ethic, dedication and drive. No less so than when they headed off on a buying trip to Melbourne in February to curate the Shouz Fall/Winter 23 range with Kate’s newborn baby boy, James, in tow. Super mama right there. We don’t know how she does it - and looks so good doing it too.

Not only did the young James sit in on some important meetings, partake in crucial decision-making and experience his first business trip to Melbourne (start them young, hey), he was right there to celebrate one of our favourite brands, Django & Juliette, turning the big 2-1.

Founded by Kerrie Munro in 2001, this fun, Melbourne-based brand has become one of our (and your) favourites for good reason. Season after season they continue to roll out unique, stylish designs brimming with personality that we can’t get enough of. We’re so excited for another 21+ years of fabulous shoes from them - happy 21st birthday Django & Juliette!

This International Women’s Day has clearly been a special one for us, celebrating Kate, Annette, our team of strong women and one of our favourite female-led brands, Django & Juliette. We’re so lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderfully supportive community of like-minded women - including our customers. We’re so grateful.
