Our favourite European brands

At Shouz, we pride ourselves on stocking a wide range of brands and products, with something for everybody. From the quirky to the classic and everything in between, our brands have got you covered. This week, we’re highlighting a few of our favourite European brands, why we love them and why you will too.

Gabor

Gabor is a name that needs no introductions. This iconic German brand was established in 1949 and has built a reputation for beautifully designed, comfortable shoes. They continue to be a family-run business with a focus on technically advanced manufacturing. Many of their styles continue to be made in Europe.

Lucia Viguera

From its humble roots as a small, espadrille-making factory in La Rioja, Spain in 1978, Lucia Viguera has grown into a global brand making shoes for the modern woman on the go. Despite their success though, they continue to manufacture in Spain with the jute espadrille remaining a brand hallmark.

Josef Seibel

Josef Seibel has been a household name in Western Europe since the late 70s. Their reputation for comfort and craftsmanship precedes them. Nicknamed ‘The European Comfort Shoe’, you know your feet will always feel pampered in one of their pairs.

Westland

If you love Josef Seibel, you will love their new line, Westland. This technology-driven brand specializes in autumn/winter footwear to bring you the warmest, most comfortable and stylish snug winter wear. Our favourite features are their warm lining, high-tech waterproof materials, and non-slip soles.

Sala

While an Australian brand, we have included Sala here because they manufacture in Europe; in historic Turkey, to be specific. The country has a rich heritage of leather production that spans hundreds of years. It’s no wonder then that Sala’s shoes feel like a dream to wear. Their soft, supple leather and relaxed styles are perfect for summer.

Woden

We love Woden. This forward-thinking Nordic brand marries innovative design with a strong focus on sustainability. Under their motto of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’, recycled fish leather, recycled rubber and natural cork feature heavily in their manufacturing. The result is an effortlessly chic, lightweight, shock-absorbing sneaker.

Jose Saenz

This namesake Spanish brand was founded in La Rioja in Spain in 2004 by Jose Saenz. With more than 35 years of experience in the footwear industry, he was keen to realize his vision of shoes that blend tradition and modernity, style and comfort. These handcrafted shoes are made from traditional materials that go through a rigorous testing process before manufacturing to ensure the highest quality.
